Reading drawings, specifications and quantities together
Drawings, specifications and quantities describe different parts of the same work — they should agree.
Drawings show where things go, specifications describe how they must perform, and quantities describe how much of them there is. When the three are reviewed together, gaps and conflicts surface early — while they are still cheap to resolve.
That review is a routine part of preparing work for execution and a practical place to start when preparing a bill of quantities or a scope of works.
